The Audiophile Edition cable R95
is especially developed for application in the
sphere of digital data transmission and is
perfectly suited for the S/PDIF (Sony/Philips
Digital Interface Format) interface standard,
for DVD digital audio to a Dolby Digital/DTS
processor or for outboard DACs (Digital to
Analog Converter). R95 cable uses triple
shielded coaxial construction with silver-plated
oxygen-free copper conductors. The pure silver
layer of the central multi-strand conductor and
inner braided conductor enhances the high
frequency response properties of the cable,
which is very important for digital audio signal
transmission. The high technology design of R95
and PE foam dielectric produce an extremely low
attenuation (0.006dB/Meter at 1MHz!!!) and true
invariant 75 Ohms characteristic impedance. The
Mylar foil shield and high density tinned copper
braid shield provide very efficient noise
protection. The polyethylene foam dielectric
guarantees both stable impedance of the cable
[+/- 2%] and accurate reproduction of the full
spectrum of digital sound with minimal level of
structural return loss. The cable is terminated
in nickel-plated squeeze locking plugs, which
provide a firm vibration resistant connection
and offer a unique internal wedging system (to
lock the connector in place). The pure
gold-plated center-split tip and eight-cut
ground sleeve enable the connector to provide
maximum contact pressure, ensuring a stable and
reliable connection practically immune to the
most severe vibrations. |
